Opportunities to serve at St. Edmund of Canterbury Parish:
- Altar Servers: assist our Mass celebrant on weekends and for major feasts and solemnities. Training provided on the mechanics of service mass and coaching junior members of the team.
- Children’s Liturgy: if you have the gift of working with children, this offers an opportunity to get involved with our Sunday children’s program.
- Eucharistic Ministers: Catholic lay persons who assist in the distribution of Holy Communion.
- Ministers of Greeting and Assisting: Visitors make their mind up about church within the first 7 minutes of their visit. A genuine smile, preparedness and warmth makes all the difference! Make an impression that lasts.
- Ministers of the Word: The Word of God has the power to change people, and your voice can serve as the instrument to bring God’s word to the community.
- Pastoral Home Care: a service of spiritual accompaniment of sick and elderly persons in their own homes.
- Sunday Morning Coffee: serve coffee, juice and cookies, but more importantly create an environment for easy and accessible fellowship for as many people as possible.
- Youth Ministry: if you have the gift of working with young adults, this offers an opportunity to get involved!
