For families ~ We pray for Christian families around the world; may they embody and experience unconditional love and advance in holiness in their daily lives.

NEW MEMBERS TO OUR CATHOLIC COMMUNITY

We are pleased to welcome four children:  Sofia Rose Guitor, Matteo Paul Marchetta, Lena Wren Moreau Kline and Miles August Moreau Kline who were baptized in the Parish during the month of May.

SYNOD – JOURNEY TOGETHER

Everyone in the Saint Edmund of Canterbury parish community is invited to participate – to pray and draw inspiration from the Gospel and from each other.

What is involved? We invite you to commit to a one-time, two-hour session to explore these themes in small groups of 5-7 people facilitated by trained parishioners and share the findings with other small groups present at our assemblies. Each session involves prayer, private meditation, sharing and listening. For our parishioners’ convenience, multiple daytime and evening sessions have been scheduled until June 12th, 2022. Meetings will be held in the Saint Edmund of Canterbury Parish Hall.

Please come and journey together! To register, go to https://stedocp.com or for more information, contact the Parish Office at 514-695-7100 or email synod@stedocp.com.

PRAYING TOGETHER FOR THE SYNODAL PROCESS

We invite all parishioners in evoking St. Edmund of Canterbury, our patron saint, as we strengthen the mission of our parish as we go through the synodal process. We ask that that you add ‘St. Edmund of Canterbury, pray for us’ after grace at all your meals.

DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE – CARITAS CANADA

D & P is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of five organizations in Quebec to receive funding to continue its humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. Its project has received the largest allocation at $200,000 to purchase food and water, to give psychological help to children and to prevent human trafficking, especially at transit locations. This funding shows the Quebec government’s confidence in D&P’s ability to respond quickly and effectively with its local partner, Caritas Ukraine.

This funding is in addition to the $1.2 million D&P has already raised, through donations, for the Ukraine crisis.
