PAPAL INTENTION FOR THE MONTH OF JULY

For the elderly~ We pray for the elderly, who represent the roots and memory of a people; may their experience and wisdom help young people to look towards the future with hope and responsibility.

WALKING TOGETHER

Pope Francis will make a pastoral visit to Canada from July 24th to 29th. The Pope’s visit will provide a unique opportunity for him, once again, to listen and dialogue with Indigenous Peoples, to express his heartfelt closeness and to address the impact of colonization and the participation of the Catholic Church in the operation of residential schools throughout Canada.  For more information visit www.papalvisit.ca.

NEW MEMBERS TO OUR CATHOLIC COMMUNITY

We are pleased to welcome Celeste Quinsue Cerminara-McMillen, Magdalene Louise Desjardins, Damien Axel Corbat, Daniel Olivier Lamsen, Charles Joseph Masella, Phillipe Jean Naami, Brayden William Vallis, and Emilia Letizia Vallis who were baptized in the Parish during the month of June.

SUMMER PRAYER

Let’s put ourselves into the hands of the Lord and pray that God will bless us and our families during the wonderful months of summer.  May we all help make our home a place of relaxation, joy, love, peace and safety.  May we be generous and considerate, not thinking only about ourselves, but helping others enjoy the blessings of summertime.  Lord God, Creator of all things, guide our steps and strengthen our hearts, during these months of summer and vacation days.  Grant us refreshment of mind and body.  We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
